i really don't have a lot to show. i've just scanned some stuff i've either doodled in class or what's in my sketchbook from the rare occasion that i have both time AND energy to draw something worth seeing.
most of this is char ideas/development for two new chars, a pangolin char [paula] and a serval char i keep namin and then forget what her name is 8C

anyway here are some sketches and unfinished works that i've scanned or whatnot within the last... whatever amount of time. but they're fairly recent. and it's been so long since my last update, i really don't feel like going back and seeing where i left off.

on characters:
for the last... several months or so, since this summer, but even slowly before that, i just haven't really been feeling a lot of my characters. haven't been drawing them, haven't been thinking about them. there are exceptions, of course. but i keep thinking i have too many. and that's been preventing me from really creating any new characters or storylines. i want to trim down the edges, just.. cut out the chars i feel like i don't want or need. it's hard because i'm attached and some of them have intricate storylines. but, eh. when was the last time i drew bux? or maikki? also, a lot of them have... problems. well, some of them. or they're based off of species that don't actually exist.
and now i do want to make new chars. ones like rowan and that pangolin girl, based off of all the cool underrepresented animals in the world. there are so many different awesome species out there. and i want to make some chars that are just.. pseudo-normal. not a reflection of my previous annoying emo depressive state in high school and early college, but something more like now. not perfect, but a fuck of a lot nicer feeling than things used to.
well, it looks like i'll have to revamp my website again. *shrug* also, i know i'm doing trades with some people and have told them to just pick some chars from my website -- some of which might be 'cut from the team' later.... it's not a problem to draw chars i myself don't draw anymore, especially right now at a crossroads like this. they just probably won't be an option later on. :> |

i have some photos of the majority of paintings i've done for my painting class... but be warned.. they're very low quality. like, worse than camera phone. just.. deal with it until i get a working, usable digital camera >:[
